Role Overview

Vendspacez Private Limited is seeking an experienced Accountant based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This position involves managing comprehensive financial accounting using platforms like Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel, particularly catering to multiple construction projects. The role demands accurate maintenance of financial records, adherence to statutory compliance including GST, TDS, and Income Tax, and collaboration with auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough and accurate books of accounts through Tally Prime, Excel, and other ERP/accounting software.
• Record all financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, payments, journals, and bank entries.
• Manage project-specific accounting, budgeting, and cost analysis for multiple active construction projects.
• Verify bills from vendors and subcontractors, and create payment schedules accordingly.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile customer and vendor ledgers regularly.
• Prepare and file GST returns, ensure compliance for TDS and Income Tax, and uphold all statutory financial requirements.
• Compile monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, cash flow analyses, and other financial reports.
• Liaise effectively with auditors, banks, consultants, and statutory authorities to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Maintain organized documentation of invoices, agreements, statutory records, and project-related financial files.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and profits across various construction projects actively.
• Handle confidential accounting matters related to Directors' individual financial accounts, including investments, loans, and banking transactions.
• Manage the accounting for group entities and other affiliated companies ensuring proper inter-company accounting and reconciliations.
• Assist management with cash flow planning by monitoring payables, receivables, and scheduling payments.
• Undertake visits to project sites, financial institutions, government offices, and vendor locations as necessary for accounting and compliance purposes.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, and business decision-making processes with relevant financial data and insights.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Preference for candidates with CA Articleship experience.
• Relevant experience in construction industry accounting is highly favored.
• B.Com or M.Com graduates with pertinent construction accounting background are encouraged to apply.
• 3 to 7 years of comprehensive accounting experience is required.
• Strong expertise in Tally Prime, GST, TDS, Income Tax, MS Excel, project accounting, and compliance regulations.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage accounts independently for multiple companies and construction projects is advantageous.
• Ability and enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new accounting systems, ERP, automation, and digital finance tools.
• Proficient analytical skills to resolve financial issues and support management decisions.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and confidentiality in handling sensitive company and Directors’ financial data.

• Prior experience in construction, real estate, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
• Ability to independently manage end-to-end accounting for multiple projects and related entities.
• Familiarity with inter-company accounting, statutory compliance, project costing, and financial reporting standards.
• Proactive, responsible, and deadline-oriented with the resilience to handle a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
