Accounting Manager

Role Overview

The Accounting Manager role involves establishing and maintaining the organization's financial position through the development and execution of robust systems for data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting. This position ensures that financial reports adhere to regulatory standards and are prepared accurately and timely. The incumbent also produces regular financial updates for senior management and formulates the annual budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive systems to collect, analyze, verify, and report financial information while supervising the accounting team.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting department functions and operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to the organization's strategic objectives by providing relevant accounting data and insightful recommendations.
• Plan and manage the annual budget by forecasting financial requirements, scheduling expenses, analyzing financial variances, and initiating necessary corrective measures.
• Monitor financial performance by tracking revenues and expenditures; coordinate financial data collection, integration, and analysis; and generate specialized financial reports.
• Support other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policies, and applying findings to address operational challenges.
• Ensure the integrity and security of financial information by establishing and maintaining internal controls and enforcing confidentiality.
• Maintain accounting governance through creating a chart of accounts and defining policies and procedures.
