About the Role
LS Solutions is seeking an experienced aeronautical engineer to oversee integration and design synthesis efforts across diverse technical disciplines such as aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, thermodynamics, electronics, controls, and actuation within advanced weapon system development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform multi-disciplinary trade studies aimed at maximizing system performance while minimizing costs.
- Collaborate closely with teams responsible for fabrication, assembly, quality assurance, and the supply chain to facilitate efficient production processes.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation and materials for presentation to various stakeholders.
Required Expertise
- Proven experience in airframe structures design and analysis utilizing both metallic and composite materials.
- Applied knowledge of hand stress analysis techniques.
- Skilled in the use of CATIA V5 and 3DX software platforms.
- Knowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Material Review Board (MRB) coordination.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of an active Top Secret security clearance.
- U.S. person eligibility.
- Relevant engineering degree with specialized aerospace experience, including familiarity with hypersonic systems.
