About the Role
An initial 12-month contract position is available with a prominent multinational medical technology company located near Cork, Ireland. This organisation specialises in the creation, manufacture, and supply of cutting-edge healthcare devices and surgical instruments. Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with teams across Digital, Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing to collect and convert business needs into AI and automation use cases.
- Examine manufacturing processes to pinpoint how generative AI and autonomous automation can enhance product yield, shorten cycle times, and reduce deviations.
- Assist in implementing AI-driven agents that support real-time decision-making and predictive analytics.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to verify and validate AI models as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience working in manufacturing or operational roles within regulated sectors, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Clinical Practice (GxP), and associated regulatory compliance standards.
- Experience utilizing digital manufacturing and automation platforms such as MES, LIMS, SAP, and eQMS, including data integration capabilities.
- Strong skills in communication and managing relationships with various stakeholders.
