Assistant Manager - Process Engineering (Rubber Extrusion)

Overview

The company specializes in manufacturing powertrain and internal combustion engine solutions, as well as powertrain and motion control systems for automotive and agricultural sectors including electric vehicles for both domestic and international markets. The Assistant Manager will primarily manage the rubber extrusion process engineering activities contributing to new product development and production improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage New Product Development (NPD) projects for various Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) clients.
• Possess strong expertise in the manufacturing of rubber tube parts, from extrusion through finishing stages.
• Lead machine installation activities, ensuring validation and smooth startup.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and apply APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) methodologies.
• Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance process efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor process engineering activities regularly to maintain high standards and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, including IATF 16949 and VSA (Vendor System Audit) within the process engineering and NPD departments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support NPD activities effectively.

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with rubber extrusion processes and their manufacturing intricacies.
• Experienced in handling process validations, lean manufacturing, and quality systems audits like IATF 16949 and VSA.
• Excellent coordination skills to work alongside various departments involved in NPD.
• Educational qualification of B.Tech or B.E. in any engineering specialization.
