Overview
This role, based in Ireland, is for an Associate Billing Specialist who will support customers and internal teams by delivering precise and efficient billing and subscription management solutions. The position requires managing billing inquiries, resolving account issues, and driving improvements to enhance the customer experience across subscription-based products in an international and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer billing and subscription questions via email and phone, ensuring prompt and accurate solutions.
- Manage billing support tickets by prioritizing tasks, following up on outstanding cases, and owning issue resolution.
- Handle complex billing matters such as compensation, refunds, credits, and finance-related inquiries.
- Collect and verify information required for credit and refund decisions while maintaining precise subscription records.
- Escalate difficult cases appropriately and work alongside internal teams to find effective resolutions.
- Examine billing trends and suggest process enhancements to improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of support documentation including knowledge base articles and tutorials.
- Support special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and month-end billing activities when needed.
- Collaborate with various teams to address and resolve subscription-related challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in billing support, subscription management, customer service, or equivalent roles.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Strong analytical skills paired with a customer-oriented approach to solving problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to make precise decisions in sensitive contexts.
- Experience with billing procedures, subscription platforms, or customer support software.
- Capability to manage demanding customer inquiries with accountability and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills to efficiently handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with customer ticketing tools such as Zendesk or similar is advantageous.
- Knowledge of data reporting applications like Google Data Studio is a plus.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 06:00 AM to 3:00 PM UTC.
