About AGBO
Founded in 2017 by Anthony and Joe Russo, AGBO is an innovative, artist-driven independent studio pioneering the future of film and television. The Russo Brothers and AGBO have collectively generated over seven billion dollars worldwide at the box office with remarkable projects including Avengers: Endgame, Academy Award-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once, Netflix sensations The Gray Man and Extraction, and Prime Video's thrilling The Bluff as well as the global Citadel franchise. The second season of Citadel is set to premiere in May 2026.
Currently, AGBO is producing Netflix titles Tygo and Mercenary, both part of the Extraction universe, and Lionsgate's John Rambo, a prequel to the legendary franchise. The studio is in post-production on The Whisper Man, featuring Robert De Niro, and Avengers: Doomsday, slated for release on December 18, 2026. Upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars filming will begin later this year, directed by the Russo brothers and co-produced with Marvel Studios.

Position Summary
The studio is recruiting an Audio Director responsible for establishing the creative and technical excellence of audio in their video game projects. This role involves creating distinctive sound effects, managing dialogue and music integration, and addressing audio implementation challenges within game engines. The Audio Director will collaborate closely with game directors to ensure audio supports narrative and gameplay experience. They will also define scalable audio workflows and standards aligned with an expanding project lineup.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire audio vision for interactive projects from early development stages through release.
- Work alongside game directors, narrative designers, and production teams to make audio enhance gameplay, story, and pacing.
- Establish core tools, workflows, and technical criteria for the audio team, enabling efficient, consistent work as the company and projects grow.
- Oversee audio implementation within the game engine in close cooperation with programmers and engineers.
- Coordinate with external audio studios and freelance sound designers.
- Manage audio department budgets, schedules, and staffing.
- Develop and refine audio pipelines, tools, and best practices that scale effectively.
- Maintain high-quality standards for audio mixing, spatial audio, and platform-specific audio requirements.
- Represent audio interests in cross-department creative reviews.
- Keep current with trends and emerging technology in game audio, spatial and immersive sound, and adaptive music.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Between five and eight years of professional experience in audio design, backed by a substantial portfolio of released projects.
- Expertise with audio middleware such as Wwise, FMOD, or MetaSounds, and proficiency with digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools or Reaper.
- Solid understanding of Unreal Engine and integration of audio with real-time systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration.
- A reel or portfolio showcasing diverse capabilities in sound design and music integration.
