Role Overview

We are seeking skilled backend engineers responsible for architecting and developing the core systems powering BJAK's AI Finance Agent. This includes creating highly reliable APIs, workflows, and foundational financial infrastructure that scale seamlessly across multiple markets, partners, and millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services, APIs, and complex workflows supporting the AI Finance Agent.
• Maintain and enhance products spanning insurance, payments, wallets, saving, investing, travel, and financial services.
• Design robust systems for user account management, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications, and operational workflows.
• Collaborate closely with product and mobile teams to deliver rapid, customer-facing feature deployments.
• Integrate with external entities such as banks, payment gateways, insurers, and data providers.
• Enhance system reliability, monitoring, security, and performance standards.
• Build practical, auditable, and compliant systems suitable for regulated financial products.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum three years of proven backend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in API design, database management, system architecture, and production issue troubleshooting.
• Track record building scalable backend services and integrating diverse third-party systems.
• Deep understanding of security best practices, reliability engineering, data integrity, and operational edge cases.
• Ability to weigh practical trade-offs between rapid delivery, quality assurance, and risk mitigation.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product owners, mobile developers, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Prior experience in fintech sectors such as payments, insurance, lending, banking, or other regulated domains is highly advantageous.
