Role Overview
We are inviting applications for a Behavioural Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team based primarily in Leopardstown, Dublin, serving children aged 0 to 18 years and their families in the region. This permanent, full-time position entails providing Positive Behaviour Support services through assessment, intervention, and ongoing care across various environments including clinics, schools, preschools, special schools, children's homes, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, the Behavioural Specialist will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored behaviour support plans to address the needs of children with diverse disabilities. Service delivery will encompass a variety of contexts, ensuring consistent and effective support.
Qualifications and Experience
- Essential qualifications include BCBA certification or its equivalent and a Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a closely related field.
- Applicants must have recent and relevant experience in a comparable role.
- Desirable qualifications involve prior interdisciplinary team experience and membership in pertinent professional bodies such as BACB or PSI.
- Proven capability in conducting Functional and Comprehensive Behaviour Assessments, designing multi-element Behaviour Support Plans, and providing training to staff and families is highly valued.
- Experience in offering supervision for individuals pursuing or maintaining BCBA, BCaBA, and RBT credentials is preferred.
- A minimum of one year’s full-time experience as a Behavioural Specialist in a disability setting is required.
Employment Details
- This role is permanent and full time with a 37.5-hour workweek.
- The salary range is €58,245 to €69,260 per annum pro rata, with provision for Long Service Increments and scheduled increases anticipated in 2026 following the WRC agreement.
- Employees are entitled to 34 days of annual leave each year.
