Bid Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our Tender Unit in Dublin, Cork, or Galway. This role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality tender submissions for significant public and private sector infrastructure, built environment, and environmental projects. You will collaborate with technical teams and senior stakeholders to devise clear, compelling, and compliant bid proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bid planning and coordination, including schedule development, contributor management, milestone tracking, and document control.
• Ensure total compliance with client requirements, procurement rules, response formats, word limits, and internal governance using compliance checklists and review management.
• Support bid strategy formulation by developing win themes aligned with client priorities and evaluation criteria, translating technical details into client-focused messaging.
• Write, edit, and refine bid documents to enhance clarity, client focus, and persuasive messaging, while developing and maintaining tender-ready content.
• Maintain effective communication with bid contributors and stakeholders to ensure collaboration and timely delivery, providing guidance and constructive challenge as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience (ideally 10+ years) in bid, tender, or proposal management with proven skills in planning, compliance, and submission oversight.
• Excellent written communication and editing skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools is advantageous.
• Degree or equivalent at Level 7 or above is preferred.
• Professional bid management certification (e.g., APMP) or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Project management skills, including structured delivery, facilitation, and stakeholder coordination, are beneficial.
• Background in consultancy, engineering, environmental, or professional services sectors is welcomed, though relevant tender experience across industries is also considered.

Working Environment and Other Information

This full-time hybrid role expects approximately 50% on-site presence in Dublin, Cork, or Galway, with flexible hours centered around core business needs. Attendance at key meetings and intensive tender periods will require office presence. Occasional travel between offices may occur.
