Role Overview

The Budget Analyst will handle budget planning, justification, and execution while supporting financial oversight and the development, implementation, and monitoring of various departmental and office programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage budget formulation, justification, execution, and support oversight of department and office program finances.
  • Monitor budget spending to ensure funds are used according to authorized program guidelines.
  • Analyze data sources underpinning recommendations for fund reallocations or new projects not yet funded in current budgets.
  • Collaborate with management to develop budget presentation strategies and advise on policy, regulations, and legislation implications.
  • Interpret and apply budget instructions relevant to assigned program budgets.

  • Analyze budget relationships and provide recommendations under tight deadlines, amidst program changes and budget objective gaps.
  • Advise leadership on budget estimates interpretation and formulation of budget requests.
  • Create proposed budget and procedural guidance, develop summary charts, and highlight key issues with supporting information to aid sound budget decisions.

Qualifications & Conditions
