Role Overview

Woodbine Entertainment is seeking customer-oriented Cleaners who take pride in maintaining spotless environments and helping create memorable guest experiences. This position plays an important role in the company’s success by supporting the team, keeping facilities clean, and contributing to an enjoyable atmosphere for visitors.

The ideal candidate brings a strong focus on cleanliness, attention to detail, and service quality. You should be comfortable working both on your own and with others, and be ready to keep up in a busy, fast-moving setting while delivering a polished and welcoming environment.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready facility.
• Work cooperatively with team members to meet service expectations.
• Use cleaning tools and equipment required for industrial cleaning tasks.
• Handle cleaning chemicals, detergents, and solvents safely and appropriately.
• Follow cleanliness standards, health and safety practices, and source separation procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in industrial and office cleaning is required.
• A valid Ontario driver’s licence, either G or G2, must be held and kept current.
• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment is necessary.
• Comfort working with detergents and solvents is required.
• English communication skills must be strong enough to read, understand, and speak effectively.
• Must be available for shift schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
• Working knowledge of WHMIS and health and safety procedures is needed.
• Familiarity with source separating procedures is expected.

Additional Information

This opening is for a replacement hire. The pay rate is $21.45 per hour during probation and increases to $22.20 per hour after probation.
