Role overview

The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a committed Cleaner to support a safe, sanitary, and well-kept school setting. This position plays an important part in the day-to-day running of the campus by delivering cleaning services to a high standard and following the approved cleaning program.

Key duties

• Keep windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, wash basins, glassware, glass doors, and cupboards clean.
• Carry out cleaning and sanitising in toilets and sick bays.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and keep it in good working order.
• Manage cobwebs and mildew, using extendable tools where required.
• Clean concrete, bitumen, asphalt, and paved areas.
• Remove rubbish, control litter, and clear material from drains and gutters around and between buildings.
