Overview
The Cluster Financial Controller is responsible for managing accounting, finance, and information systems operations across the hotel cluster. This role aims to deliver flexible, high-caliber financial services to enhance guest satisfaction while adhering to company standards. Effective planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and administering all related policies and processes is essential to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full spectrum of financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare management accounts and conduct performance analyses for leadership review.
- Ensure integrity and compliance of financial data with group standards.
- Lead annual budget creation and periodic forecasting in collaboration with management and department heads.
- Monitor and interpret financial performance versus budgets, explaining variances.
- Advise commercial teams with financial insights to improve profitability.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls across all financial procedures.
- Protect company assets and guarantee compliance with Accor’s policies and Saudi financial laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate both internal and external audit activities.
- Oversee operational finance activities such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash management, procurement financial governance, and cost allocation across departments.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the General Manager and leadership, supporting decision-making, cost optimization, and revenue growth initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with operations, HR, and commercial teams to align financial strategies.
- Ensure effective utilization of financial systems including PMS, ERP, and POS integrations.
- Continuously improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
- Support financial setup and system integration for pre-opening or new operations as necessary.
- Promote team development through training, cross-sectional exposure, and cultivating a culture of growth and inclusion.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 8+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in hospitality or resort settings.
- Strong expertise in financial controlling, accounting, and reporting.
- Experience with pre-opening or managing remote operations is highly advantageous.
- Sound understanding of Saudi financial regulations and IFRS standards.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on control mechanisms.
- Proficient in financial software like Opera, Sun, SAP, or similar hospitality ERP systems.
