McKinsey & Company is seeking a motivated Consultant to join its two-year Operations Excellence Program (OEP) in Munich, Germany. Your Role and Impact

As an OEP Consultant, you will participate actively in client engagements akin to other McKinsey consultants. Responsibilities include identifying client issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analyses, synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations, and gaining cutting-edge consultancy and operations skills through structured training and on-the-job coaching.

The program offers exposure to multiple industries and service lines over the first few years, with a focus on achieving operational excellence. You’ll undertake specialized training in one of six areas: manufacturing, product development, purchasing, service operations, supply chain management, or capital excellence.

Successful completion leads to membership in McKinsey's global team of operational excellence experts, with OEP alumni holding positions from associate to partner across the firm.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree with outstanding academic achievements.
• Initial experience in operational domains such as lean manufacturing, lean services, Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, process optimization, product development, or purchasing.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in professional or extracurricular contexts.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to undertake European assignments during the work week.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and the local office language, articulating complex concepts clearly.
