Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying contractual risks and recommending mitigation approaches.
  • Assisting in preparing commercial and contract performance reports for project leadership.
  • Collaborating with Performance & Delivery Claims team to oversee claims and dispute resolutions according to governance standards.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with Project Management Team members, Functional Managers, Legal, and Risk Management to exchange information on contract matters and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinating contract evaluations and end-of-contract closeouts as per relevant guidelines.
  • Functioning in a highly visible project setting with substantial capital investment and intense scheduling pressures, demonstrating accuracy, initiative, and multitasking abilities to meet high standards in safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in a business-related discipline, including a minimum of 4 years within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in supervisory or oversight roles involving contractors, subcontractors, or vendor personnel.
  • Hands-on experience with major lump sum energy projects in a post-award capacity.
  • Practical contractor management experience including drafting contractual correspondence, managing change orders and variations, and advising the Project Management Team on contracts.
