Overview
This role requires the incumbent to autonomously lead and oversee key contracts management tasks while contributing to long-term organizational goals. The position involves enhancing policies, procedures, standards, and reporting related to contract lifecycle management, vendor relations, and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Legal & Enforcement team to prepare and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Draft letters of intent and other legal documentation, manage contract formalities for sign-off, and communicate vendor selections to stakeholders.
- Timely renewal and update of contracts consistent with the Authority’s legal policies and standards.
- Evaluate all contract modification requests against established criteria and advise on suitable outcomes.
- Review applicable penalties, notify vendors, and approve them prior to invoice submission.
- Assess the need for contract changes, analyze impacts on budget and schedule, develop variation orders accordingly.
- Receive and analyze claims from vendors, negotiate resolutions to protect organizational interests while maintaining vendor relationships.
- Prepare termination or warning letters as required.
- Develop vendor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct ongoing performance monitoring post delivery of goods or services.
- Gather feedback from relevant departments to evaluate product quality, costs, and delivery timelines.
- Regularly update the approved supplier list through continuous evaluation and monitor new suppliers entering the market.
- Adhere strictly to all policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency and control in all operational activities.
- Support escalation and resolution of complex issues while facilitating junior staff in performing their duties effectively.
- Train and guide junior team members, assign responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and manage workflow to ensure performance excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, is advantageous.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience, including at least three years at a managerial level.
