Role overview
Currie & Brown is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its Abu Dhabi team, supporting infrastructure and mixed-use development projects.
Key responsibilities
- Examine plans, specifications, and contract documents to make sure the right equipment, materials, and subcontracted services are sourced and ordered.
- Manage client relationships and prepare commercial and contract-related reports in line with client expectations.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle from creation through closeout.
- Set contract terms and conditions, negotiate where needed, and award supplier contracts or advise on award decisions.
- Update and maintain existing agreements as project needs change.
- Clarify contractual terms and conditions for managers and other stakeholders.
- Plan delivery timelines, track progress, and coordinate with clients and suppliers to resolve issues.
- Support the development and rollout of commercial strategies.
- Assess risks connected to specific contract provisions.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, owners, and other parties to keep project objectives on track.
- Ensure all contractual deadlines, obligations, and conditions are met.
- Keep well-organized physical and digital records.
Required profile
- Solid prior experience in contract management.
- Working knowledge of legal requirements related to contracts.
- Strong written communication and drafting ability.
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify mistakes.
- Good analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Comfort working with people at different seniority levels, including internal teams and external partners.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
