Overview

A company is seeking a Customs Clearance Agent experienced in UK customs procedures involving import and export shipments. The candidate must be well-versed in UK customs documentation, regulations, and shipment handling processes, ensuring compliance throughout.

Primary Duties

Oversee clearance of shipments entering or leaving the UK customs framework.
Accurately prepare and check all related customs paperwork.
Collaborate with logistics providers, customs officials, and clients for smooth operations.
Stay compliant with UK customs laws and regulations in shipment processing.
Address and resolve any customs challenges or delays affecting shipments.
Keep precise records of shipments and clearance activities.
Maintain clear communication channels with both internal teams and external parties.

Candidate Requirements

Hands-on experience with UK customs clearance and freight handling.
In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and necessary documentation for the UK.
Strong communication abilities paired with problem-solving aptitude.
Capable of handling pressure and meeting stringent deadlines.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and customs-related software is beneficial.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational aptitude.

Work Schedule

The position requires working six days a week from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Occasionally, late hours may be necessary to manage urgent operational needs.
