Data Analyst

Role Overview

Our financial services client seeks a Data Analyst to assist Investment, Investor Relations, and Operations teams by efficiently collecting, organizing, validating, and documenting company data across multiple systems. This role demands close collaboration with team leads to ensure dependable data handling and reporting workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and verify data from Investment, Investor Relations, and Operations departments.
• Maintain accurate records within internal systems such as Excel, CRM software, and databases.
• Support investor communication efforts, portfolio reporting, and handle ad hoc data inquiries.
• Reconcile data by comparing source documents and internal datasets to ensure consistency.
• Create and maintain documentation of workflows, data definitions, and standard operating procedures to ensure processes are repeatable and auditable.
• Assist with testing and reviewing outputs generated by internal automation and data processing solutions.
• Coordinate quarterly data collection processes, focusing on standardizing and validating data compared to previous periods.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in data operations, business operations, or fund/investment operations.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business analytics, or a closely related discipline.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with structured, recurring reporting workflows.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to manage several outstanding tasks across teams effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Keen interest in learning tools like SQL, Python, and Markdown documentation systems.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic with the capability to function independently and collaboratively.
