Data Analyst

About the Role

The Data Analyst will leverage sophisticated data analytics techniques, including statistical modeling, visualization, and marketing optimization to craft and execute customer engagement initiatives for FairPrice Group. This role involves analyzing campaign performance and offering insightful evaluations. By segmenting customers and analyzing behaviors, the analyst ensures tailored marketing communication reaches members through their preferred channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify distinct customer groups by analyzing purchasing patterns, demographics, and life stages.
• Spot growth opportunities and devise strategies to attract new customers in untapped segments.
• Collaborate with marketing and segment teams to run targeted campaigns aimed at boosting revenue per segment and increasing product penetration.
• Understand customer lifetime value to allocate marketing budgets efficiently for maximum ROI.
• Enhance campaign effectiveness by experimenting with offers and communication channels.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights and narratives.
• Implement self-service analytics tools for other departments to use independently.
• Champion a culture shift towards customer-centric and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years' experience as an Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Scientist; e-commerce sector experience is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in data analytics, independent problem-solving, and familiarity with tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, and data visualization software.
• Experience handling large transactional datasets; knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS is beneficial.
• Worked closely with data science and product teams applying the latest software technologies, with practical Python expertise preferred.
• Business savvy with the ability to interpret stakeholder needs and extract insights from complex data.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration skills and capacity to present data in an accessible manner to non-specialists.
• Past involvement in commercial or operational decision-making is preferred.
• Capable of working autonomously and managing uncertainty.
