Overview

Covenir operates as a BPO partner to insurance carriers and is evolving into a technology firm. Their platform integrates modules such as Print, Call Center, Virtual Mailroom, and Premium & Lockbox, developed using an AI-driven 80/20 methodology where AI creates initial drafts and humans provide judgment. The Data Analyst role is responsible for managing data and reporting critical to Covenir's operations, creating and maintaining analytics that offer Operations, Sales & Marketing, and leadership a unified and reliable perspective on performance. Additionally, this role scouts AI tools and partnerships to guide decisions on building or partnering technologies. While the platform is the immediate focus, the analyst's scope will expand to meet wider organizational data and reporting requirements as priorities evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting across multiple systems.
• Create and upkeep executive-level dashboards and KPIs tracking volumes, postage, and SLA performance across customers and business units.
• Utilize Azure data technologies including Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Blob Storage to support the platform’s data warehouse infrastructure.
• Investigate and assess AI tools, vendors, and partnership opportunities, such as document-intelligence platforms, to inform build-versus-partner strategies.
• Translate diverse operational and business inquiries from teams such as Operations, Sales & Marketing, and leadership into clear data requests and reports.
• Apply AI-assisted analysis tools in line with Covenir’s 80/20 development approach.
• Maintain compliance with data retention, security policies, and SOC requirements relevant to platform data.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence with strong SQL skills.
• Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Blob Storage) or similar cloud platforms; AWS knowledge is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of insurance BPO business processes spanning Print, Call Center, Virtual Mailroom, and Premium & Lockbox.
• Knowledgeable in data gathering from multiple business units, along with data retention and access control procedures.
• Foundational understanding of AI/API sandbox setups and associated data workflows.
• Experience building dashboards and KPI reports for executive audiences.
• Comfortable evaluating third-party vendors, tools, and partnership options.
• Capability to document data analysis and reporting clearly for diverse stakeholders including Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT, and R&D.
• Committed to completing data security, confidentiality, SOC compliance training, and cross-functional onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or an equivalent experiential background.
