Position Overview
We are seeking a Data Engineer specializing in Finance to join our team. This is a contract role, requiring full-time commitment over a period of six months. The position is on-site at one of the following locations: San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; or Bellevue, WA. The hourly compensation ranges from $60 to $85.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage PySpark-based data pipelines to guarantee precise and timely delivery of financial data.
- Create and refine SQL queries to efficiently handle extensive financial datasets.
- Collaborate with Finance and engineering teams to convert unclear requests into practical data infrastructure solutions.
- Identify and promptly resolve issues in the data pipeline, ensuring comprehensive quality of data processing.
Qualifications
- Between two to four years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
- Proficient hands-on experience with PySpark and managing large-scale or distributed data processing tasks.
- Strong command of SQL.
- Availability and willingness to work full-time on-site.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to perform independently.
