Overview

We are on the lookout for a meticulous and analytical Data Scientist / Data Visualization Analyst to join our expanding data team in Hamburg, Germany. This full-time position involves gathering, cleaning, and interpreting complex datasets to extract meaningful insights. You will be responsible for crafting engaging dashboards and visualizations that facilitate strategic decisions, collaborating closely with various teams to address business challenges via data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and cleanse large datasets from diverse sources for analysis.
• Create dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using leading business intelligence software.
• Utilize statistical methods and machine learning techniques to detect patterns and derive insights.
• Develop and maintain data models to enhance reporting and analytic capabilities.
• Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and convert them into actionable analytics solutions.
• Track and present key performance indicators to leadership teams.
• Assist in building and refining data pipelines and reporting workflows.
• Ensure data integrity, precision, and consistency across various systems.
• Prepare documentation for analytical methods, reports, and technical protocols.
• Keep abreast of evolving technologies in data science, artificial intelligence, and visualization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Analytics, or closely related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis using Python, R, SQL, or comparable programming languages is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
• Understanding of SQL databases and data warehousing principles.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is beneficial.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capacity, and critical reasoning.
• Excellent skills in communication and delivering presentations.
• Capability to operate both independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English; German language skills are an added advantage but not compulsory.
