Company and Role Overview
Inver Energy has been a trusted fuel supplier throughout Ireland for nearly four decades, offering various fuel products to diverse sectors including industrial, commercial, agricultural, domestic, wholesale, and retail markets from its Foynes terminal. With 115 service stations carrying the Inver and Amber brands and 18 convenience stores, the company focuses on excellent customer service, competitive pricing, quality fuels, and community support. This permanent, full-time position is located in Mayfield and offers an opportunity to become part of a rapidly expanding retail and fuel business. Amber Petroleum Ltd seeks a motivated Deli Assistant who is passionate about retail and leadership.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Comply rigorously with HACCP standards and ensure food safety practices are followed.
- Support continuous enhancement of the deli and bakery operations.
- Possess thorough knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
- Participate actively in receiving and managing deliveries.
- Stay informed on product details and new product introductions.
- Prepare fresh foods such as salads, sandwiches, and soups.
- Adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of deli display units, refrigeration, workspaces, storage, and public seating areas.
- Assist with monthly inventory audits when required.
- Carry out other duties assigned by management.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Solid understanding and application of HACCP guidelines.
