Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Directs Store Delivery Associate offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within the retail sector. This role focuses on coordinating and efficiently handling the processing of direct and local merchandise destined for the sales floor, ensuring a smooth shopping experience that enhances customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Securely place high-value merchandise in specified locations.
- Promptly process shipments including direct, local, OMNI merchandise, alcohol, and warehouse trailer receipts.
- Provide training to other Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Associates on receiving area procedures.
- Maintain a clean receiving environment by preparing returns, claims, and Merchandise Transfer Requests (MTRs) with complete documentation for timely shipment.
- Adhere to and advocate for safety protocols involving lifting techniques, box cutters, pallet jacks, and ladders.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and Office Support Associate to resolve issues and discrepancies effectively.
- Protect backdoor access and key controls to comply with company policies.
- Follow cold chain compliance requirements for quality assurance, including recording data on the Receiving Temperature Log and Sure Check App.
Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $18.55 per hour.
