Role Overview

This position as a Dispenser situates you as a vital contributor to our pharmacy team, supporting pharmacists and healthcare colleagues to ensure the safe and smooth provision of pharmacy services. You will operate within the store’s healthcare department, engaging with patients by attentively understanding their requirements and guiding them in health decisions.

Key Duties

• Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring prescribed medicines are supplied safely—this includes handling orders, labeling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to assist the management and execution of pharmacy services.
• Offer care guidance and medicine advice to patients, escalating queries to the pharmacist when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee legal and safe dispensing practices.
• Stay informed on new store innovations and comply with operational policies.
• Support patients in managing their prescriptions effectively through dependable repeat prescriptions and promoting medicine adherence to reduce waste.
• Engage with evolving in-store technologies designed to enhance patient safety and streamline dispensing processes, allowing more patient-focused time.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Completion of a Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or currently engaged in an MPharm course having completed the first year.
• Possession of valid UK right to work documentation is mandatory; candidates without rights or requiring Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship will not be considered.

Preferred Experience

• Previous community pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Additional Information

This in-store UK role excludes remote work and requires applicants to either reside in the UK or demonstrate UK qualifications and legal work status. The salary ranges from £13.92 to £16.64 per hour, varying by location in London.

After receiving an offer, the successful candidate must undergo pre-employment screening including DBS, PVG, or Access NI checks depending on location.
