Overview
The ideal candidate will bring 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices specifically aligned with standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 within Utilities, Process, or Construction sectors.
Educational & Professional Credentials
Mandatory qualifications include a Diploma or Degree in any engineering discipline coupled with an Advanced or Post Diploma in Industrial Safety accredited by the State Technical Education Board, ensuring a minimum academic score of 60%. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Technology or Master’s degree specialized in Industrial Safety Engineering is acceptable. Additional certifications like NEBOSH IGC or IOSH are preferable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce EHS Policies, Procedures, and Programs throughout the organization.
- Organize and deliver worker and staff training covering safety laws, regulatory compliance, hazardous condition assessments, and proper safety equipment usage.
- Proactively identify and address unsafe work practices and conditions by conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Oversee routine maintenance and readiness of firefighting gear, personal protective equipment, and all other safety-related apparatus.
- Promote and enhance safety awareness at every organizational level.
- Ensure compliance with all EHS regulatory requirements, compiling and reporting findings to the Incident Control (IC) Head.
- Manage training initiatives for safety personnel encompassing first aid, CPR, accident prevention, investigative techniques, and onsite inspections.

- Achieve and maintain a culture of "Zero Tolerance" towards unsafe behavior and strive for Accident Free Man-hours.
- Conduct effective EHS training sessions and workshops.
- Guarantee strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and EHS Manuals.
- Maintain thorough documentation necessary for EHS audits.
- Engage and coordinate with clients and consultants on EHS-related matters.
