Position Overview
WeCodeRight is looking for a creative and committed eLearning Course Designer to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. The ideal candidate will be skilled in instructional design and capable of transforming complex subject matter into engaging, clear, and effective online learning experiences suitable for a wide range of learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop interactive eLearning programs utilizing authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or comparable software.
- Partner with subject matter experts to assess the training requirements and establish learning objectives for the targeted audience.
- Craft engaging educational activities and course materials designed to promote knowledge retention and transfer.
- Design assessment strategies to evaluate learner performance effectively.
- Leverage multimedia technology and authoring tools to deliver high-quality, interactive eLearning content.
- Continuously improve course content by incorporating learner feedback and staying current with new information.
- Maintain proper project documentation and organize course folders professionally.
- Regularly assess and enhance the quality and effectiveness of training through evaluations and feedback.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in an eLearning Designer role or an equivalent position.
- Proficiency with eLearning development platforms such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.
- Comprehensive understanding of learning theories and instructional design principles.
- Strong ability to produce clear instructional copy, including text and multimedia scripts.
- Basic skills in HTML and CSS.
- Excellent communication abilities with talent for breaking down complex ideas succinctly.
- A bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a closely related discipline.
