Role Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist or Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience within the Victorian context to join our Geelong office. The role entails managing diverse projects, client interaction, proposal preparation, field program coordination, data analysis, and producing high-quality reports. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support various projects ensuring compliance with Terralis's integrated quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
• Independently design investigation scopes for projects of low to medium complexity, including planning and executing fieldwork, health and safety planning, equipment coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Assist under supervision with managing and delivering large and complex projects.
• Conduct field activities such as site inspections and environmental sampling (soil, water, ground gas, groundwater) along with other environmental assignments as required.
• Prepare well-structured, high-quality technical reports with minimal review.
• Research legislation and gather relevant data to support decision-making and strategy development.
• Perform desktop research and prepare Preliminary Site Investigations.
• Analyze and interpret data to deliver Detailed Site Investigations.
• Develop moderately complex fee proposals to secure new work and aid company growth, supporting technical leads on larger projects.
• Maintain effective communication with Project Directors and clients to build strong relationships and support business growth.

Candidate Profile

• Qualifications in environmental science, geological science, or engineering.
• Experience in environmental consulting and managing projects with understanding of Victorian legislation, delivering projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality deliverables including report writing and computer proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and client relations.
• Valid Australian driver's license.
• Eligibility to work in Australia as a Permanent Resident or Citizen.
• Availability to start within 1 to 4 weeks.

Additional Information

Location: Geelong, Victoria, Australia (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 per annum depending on experience
