Facilities Engineer

Job Overview

The Facilities Engineer specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems will be accountable for the upkeep, operation, and optimal performance of all MEP infrastructures at the designated property or facility. This role ensures that the building services adhere to contractual commitments, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, legal regulations, and client requirements while maximizing asset usability and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation and maintenance of MEP components including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
• Lead and supervise technicians and subcontractor teams
• Ensure activities comply with HSE protocols and statutory norms
• Track asset performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and participate in energy efficiency programs
• Liaise and coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, and in-house departments

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Possess 5 to 8 years of experience in Facilities Management
• Comprehensive understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting systems, and BMS
• Proficiency using Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems and maintenance scheduling
• Strong communication capabilities and problem-solving aptitude
