Job summary
Almana Group is hiring an experienced Facilities Manager in Doha, Qatar to take charge of the upkeep and daily functioning of its properties and facilities. The role focuses on making sure all buildings, equipment, and support services are maintained effectively, safely, and in accordance with company expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the everyday running and upkeep of company facilities.
- Organize and supervise preventive as well as corrective maintenance work.
- Lead maintenance teams, outside contractors, and service vendors.
- Track maintenance timelines and make sure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Manage renovation, refurbishment, and facility improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety rules and internal policies.
- Build and oversee maintenance budgets while keeping costs under control.
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to coordinate facility needs.
- Carry out routine inspections to verify that facilities remain in good condition.
- Compile reports covering maintenance activity and overall facility performance.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar area is needed.
- A minimum of 5 years should be in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Solid working knowledge of facilities management, HVAC systems, MEP, preventive and corrective maintenance, building maintenance, and health and safety standards.
- Demonstrated leadership, planning, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
Preferred candidate profile
- Prior experience managing commercial, residential, or mixed-use properties is preferred.
- Background working with contractors and service providers is an advantage.
- GCC experience is considered a plus.
