Field Installation Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Field Installation Engineer to handle comprehensive installation, configuration, and commissioning of Audio Visual (AV) systems, including Video Conferencing setups, displays, speakers, microphones, and control units.

Key Duties

• Install and set up AV components such as Video Conferencing devices, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, projectors, and associated hardware.
• Interpret AV design drawings, wiring schematics, rack configurations, and system blueprints before commencing work.
• Execute cable management tasks including pulling, dressing, labeling, terminating, and testing in alignment with company and project standards.
• Ensure secure and professional mounting of all AV equipment including displays, cameras, and audio peripherals.
• Conduct thorough testing to confirm complete system operational readiness prior to customer delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, network, and connectivity within AV systems.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, customers, consultants, and subcontractors during project implementation.
• Generate detailed installation and testing documentation, including daily progress reports for management review.
• Comply strictly with approved project drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and specifications to guarantee quality workmanship.
• Provide customer demonstrations and foundational training upon installation completion.
• Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and repair visits to sustain equipment functionality.
• Adhere to all electrical safety regulations and organizational safety protocols when working on-site.
• Stay informed about advancements in AV technologies and best installation practices.
• Travel as necessary to various client sites for installations, servicing, and technical support engagements.
• Undertake any other technical, installation, or service tasks as directed by leadership.
