Finance Controller

About the Role

This role is assigned to SJE Management Pte Ltd, a Singapore-registered affiliate of Golden Agri-Resources specializing in investment and management services. The Finance Controller will take charge of operational reviews and financial reporting activities to ensure timely and accurate management of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine payment lists and expense documentation maintained in Excel templates.
• Upload financial records accurately into the accounting system and maintain them consistently.
• Conduct bank reconciliations for expenses and cash balances, verifying against accounting system reports.
• Produce diverse financial reports such as expense summaries, budget variance analyses, cash flow statements, and weekly cash reports.
• Prepare financial statements for entities under management and ensure compliance with statutory and tax reporting, including GST assessments for IRAS payments or refunds.
• Adhere to all statutory and internal deadlines tied to financial reporting.
• Support the annual budget forecast process and perform periodic budget updates.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external parties by managing information requests and reviewing operation processes as part of internal controls.
• Maintain liaison with tax agents and other external service providers to facilitate compliance and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Prior experience in accounting related to investments or fund management is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and familiar with accounting software systems.
