Role Summary

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations, accounting, control mechanisms, and governance within WWF Singapore. This role ensures smooth operations, compliance with regulations, precise financial reporting, and resource management. The manager will also enhance team capabilities and establish effective procurement practices to support both operational and program activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and financial closing procedures.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team, including offshore members, setting clear objectives and driving performance.
• Continuously improve and standardise finance processes with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Manage financial reporting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal WWF policies.
• Develop and maintain a robust financial control framework to mitigate risks and ensure accountability.
• Supervise external audit processes, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
• Stay informed on current regulatory changes and accounting developments.
• Lead internal governance, audit, and risk management activities; implement audit recommendations promptly.
• Collaborate with leadership on governance and risk oversight, fostering transparency and compliance culture.
• Establish and oversee procurement policies and procedures, ensuring cost-effective and policy-compliant purchasing.
• Guide departments in procurement practices and vendor relations, promoting procurement-to-pay best practices.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives incorporating strategic partnerships.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support fundraising, program management, and strategic decisions.
• Facilitate financial literacy and accountability across organizational teams.
• Contribute to financial system improvements and digital transformation projects including ERP solutions.
• Manage treasury functions such as cash flow and funding allocation, and ensure tax obligations are met.
• Optimize the use of financial resources to support WWF Singapore’s mission.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience, favoring those with backgrounds in non-profit or mission-driven organisations.
• In-depth understanding of IFRS standards, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Experience developing finance processes; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous.
• Proven leadership skills in managing teams and enhancing organizational financial capabilities.
