Job Overview

The FM Store Keeper plays a critical role in overseeing and controlling the inventory of facilities management supplies, tools, equipment, and spare parts necessary for operational maintenance tasks. The position ensures that all required materials are available to maintain efficient facility functions.

Key Duties

• Receive and thoroughly inspect all incoming FM-related materials such as HVAC components, electrical items, plumbing supplies, and cleaning agents; record details accurately.
• Properly store materials in a manner that prioritizes safety, security, and accessibility for ease of retrieval.
• Distribute materials and tools to maintenance personnel according to authorized work orders or requisitions.
• Keep updated and precise stock records via computerized inventory systems.
• Perform routine stock checks and resolve any discrepancies found during audits.
• Liaise with procurement and FM departments to ensure stock levels are replenished promptly.
• Handle the removal and disposal of outdated or damaged inventory items according to company guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area, adhering to safety regulations.
• Generate reports detailing inventory status, consumption rates, and shortages.
• Assist in inventory planning and budgeting activities related to facilities management needs.
