Role Overview
The Fractional CFO is a part-time position based in Singapore with a hybrid work arrangement combining onsite collaboration and remote work flexibility. The incumbent will oversee financial planning and analysis efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, and performance measurement reporting. Responsibilities extend to establishing and enhancing financial controls, policies, and procedures to support the company's expanding presence in the medical distribution market. This role provides strategic financial guidance on capital structure, banking partnerships, and funding avenues.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly financial statements to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Direct cost optimization initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- Support strategic business projects, including market expansion, portfolio management, and potential mergers or acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for small to mid-sized firms, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or distribution.
- Skilled in preparing financial reports and interpreting P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow to offer clear strategic insights.
- Experience in developing and executing internal financial controls, policies, and compliance frameworks for regional and global operations.
- Background in treasury management, cash handling, banking relationships, and capital financing suited for growing businesses.
- Competency in ERP and accounting software, spreadsheets, and business intelligence tools to enhance financial processes and data accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to work effectively with founders, commercial teams, and operations in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communicator capable of presenting intricate financial data clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business is required; professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or CFA are preferred.
- Experience as a fractional or consulting CFO and comfort with hybrid work arrangements in Singapore.
