Role summary
This contract opportunity is for a JavaScript-focused frontend developer supporting a client project. The position is fully remote and can be done from anywhere. The work centers on maintaining and improving web applications with JavaScript, React, and Node.js, while contributing to both user-facing and server-side components to deliver fast, reliable experiences.
What you will do
- Create and refine frontend features using JavaScript, React, and related tools.
- Develop and support backend services with Node.js and Express for REST-style APIs.
- Work with different teams to connect frontend interfaces with backend systems.
- Produce code that is clean, reusable, organized, and properly documented.
- Diagnose issues, fix bugs, and improve performance where applications are slow or unstable.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ capabilities.
- Practical experience building interfaces with React.
- Working knowledge of Node.js, Express, and API development.
- Familiarity with state handling using Redux or Context API.
- Comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and responsive layouts.
- Understanding of Git and version control workflows.
- Experience using testing tools such as Jest or Mocha.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, remote setup.
- Strong analytical thinking and careful attention to detail.
