Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Javascript Developer for a contract position to work remotely. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing web applications through the development of scalable frontend and backend components, ensuring excellent performance and user experience using JavaScript, React, and Node.js technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize frontend elements utilizing JavaScript, React, and associated libraries.
- Develop and sustain backend services using Node.js and Express framework to build RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to merge frontend and backend solutions.
- Create clean, modular, and well-commented code adhering to industry best practices.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance issues and bugs within existing applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ standards and modern frameworks like React.
- Proven experience with Node.js, Express, and backend API development.
- Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux or Context API.
- Competent in HTML, CSS, and principles of responsive web design.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fully remote, distributed team setup.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
