Job description
Job Overview
This role entails performing general and preventative maintenance tasks on stores and related equipment to uphold operational standards and store image for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repair duties on buildings and equipment at designated convenience stores, including tasks like dumpster repairs, carpentry, floor and restroom fixes, pothole filling, signage installation, trash removal, door and lock repairs, decaling, and lighting upkeep.
- Respond to maintenance requests from the Facilities Director and Maintenance Coordinators.
- Conduct pressure washing, painting, and related upkeep to maintain high visual standards of all store assets.
- Manage the maintenance schedule within assigned areas.
- Undertake special projects as assigned by management.
- Travel, including overnight stays, as required to complete maintenance responsibilities.
- Participate in field visits and meetings upon management’s request.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties to support the success of assigned locations.
Candidate Qualifications
- Completion of high school education or an equivalent qualification.
- Solid practical knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and convenience store equipment; certifications are not mandatory.
- Experience in repairing restaurant equipment is desirable.
- Strong understanding of building construction and maintenance techniques.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to self-manage workload priorities daily without direct supervision.
- Professional conduct and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical and Other Job Requirements
- Ability to operate trucks or similar vehicles.
- Competence in climbing ladders to access equipment and facilities.
- Capacity to lift heavy items and operate various tools and construction machinery.
- Willingness and ability to travel long distances, including overnight stays.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with associates, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
