Role Overview

This position involves welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and maintaining the dining area's cleanliness and order. You'll assist guests throughout their dining experience, ensuring their seating needs are met and that they have menus and necessary tableware. Maintenance of hygiene standards and adherence to safety policies are essential duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and ascertain the number of people in their party.
• Seat guests at clean, available tables, pulling out chairs and placing updated menus before them.
• Guide guests within the dining area and assist as required.
• Arrange tables and chairs suitably, adapt dining layout, and manage seating for groups with special requirements.
• Ensure each seat is properly set with a clean napkin, cutlery, and other standard items.
• Maintain sufficient quantities of clean, updated menus free of creases.
• Keep work areas tidy throughout operating hours, following continuous cleaning procedures.
• Monitor available seats, ensuring safe, comfortable service and client wellbeing.
• Comply with all Marriott's safety protocols; report accidents, hazards, and complete necessary safety training and certifications.
• Wear a clean and complete uniform, present a professional appearance at all times, uphold confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Utilize clear and courteous language during communications, including answering telephone calls with appropriate etiquette.
• Build positive, professional relationships with colleagues by cooperating, supporting, and responding constructively to others' concerns.
• Meet quality standards and hospitality requirements consistently.
• Be physically capable of standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods and handle lifting or moving light loads up to 4.5 kilograms independently.
• Perform any additional tasks aligned with the role assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior work experience is mandatory, though familiarity with the food service industry is preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No special permits or certifications needed.
