Job Overview
Tuwaiq Casting & Forging Company seeks a skilled Internal Logistic Coordinator to become part of the Production Control Department within the Operations Division. The selected individual will manage internal material handling procedures inside the manufacturing facility to ensure smooth and efficient movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods among warehouses, production shops, packing units, and storage areas. This role directly supports continuous production flow.
Primary Duties
- Manage the internal transfer of products and waste materials across different departments such as melting, casting, forging, machining, heat treatment, NDE, painting, and packing.
- Handle requests for heavy machinery and internal transportation equipment by prioritizing and allocating as needed.
- Ensure prompt delivery of materials and products to requested work sites without delays.
- Coordinate and monitor internal transportation logistics including forklifts, trucks, and trailers while ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Schedule and prioritize transportation tasks based on production urgency.
- Supervise team member performance including attendance and punctuality.
- Plan and oversee routine and special maintenance of heavy equipment; liaise with external service providers during major repairs or breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of all product and by-product movements using Excel or other relevant systems.
- Prepare and manage internal logistics documentation to keep system records up to date.
- Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve internal logistics efficiency and reduce delays or waste.
- Follow all company safety policies and standards during logistics operations.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent; education focused on technical or logistics disciplines is advantageous.
- At least five years of logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and ERP systems.
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency including Excel and data entry.
- Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Behavioral Competencies
- Excellent leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
- Capability to maintain composure and effectively manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
Working Conditions
- Employment in a steel manufacturing plant or warehouse environment.
- Exposure to industrial noise, heavy machinery, and elevated temperatures.
- Requirement to work overtime, including night shifts and weekends when necessary.
