IT Support Engineer

About the Role

EIL Global, a prominent IT services company based in Adelaide, Australia, specializes in providing comprehensive End User Computing (EUC), Infrastructure, Networking, and Data Centre support across the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions. They work with global enterprises to offer dependable onsite IT support in multiple countries. Currently, they are seeking experienced IT Support Engineers for on-call or freelance onsite roles in Adelaide, South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver onsite desktop support, including identifying and resolving hardware and software problems.
• Install, upgrade, and re-image Windows operating systems.
• Troubleshoot issues involving desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
• Perform fundamental network troubleshooting within LAN and WAN setups.
• Set up and resolve problems with network hardware like routers and switches.
• Respond quickly to service requests while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support activities, troubleshooting processes, and solutions.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to guarantee smooth service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least three years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or field services.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software.
• Good knowledge of networking principles covering LAN, WAN, routers, and switches.
• Experience in operating system deployment, imaging, and break-fix support tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously and handle multiple onsite tasks effectively.
