Role Overview
We seek a proactive Junior Financial Analyst eager to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting within a dynamic finance team. This entry-level position suits recent graduates or professionals starting their careers who want to contribute to strategic business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial and management reports.
- Examine financial data to detect trends and offer actionable insights aiding business decisions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Develop financial models and conduct variance and profitability analyses.
- Track financial KPIs and highlight potential risks and opportunities for the business.
- Support cost and revenue analysis as well as reviews of operational performance.
- Ensure precision in reconciliations and financial records.
- Carry out market, competitor, and industry research to aid financial planning.
- Coordinate with accounting, operations, and business partners to gather and confirm financial data.
- Support audit processes and ensure financial policy adherence.
- Maintain up-to-date financial databases, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Keep abreast of financial regulations, accounting standards, and market updates.
Candidate Profile
- Fundamental knowledge of financial statements, accounting concepts, and analytical techniques.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, complex formulas, charts, and data analytics.
- Strong analytical thinking, numeric aptitude, and problem-solving ability.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in reports.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Basic understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.
- Capability to function independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or closely related disciplines.
- Progress toward or possession of certifications such as CFA Level I, ACCA, or CPA is beneficial.
