Role Overview

The Key Account Manager will focus on the Electronics & Light Assembly (ELA) sector, responsible for advancing business development by discovering and securing new automation-related opportunities. This role involves collaborating with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), system integrators, and end users to advocate Festo’s solutions, influence design choices, and ensure satisfaction via both technical expertise and commercial negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business expansion and increase market share within the Electronics and Light Assembly segments.
• Identify, engage, and convert new clients, projects, and applications across targeted industries.
• Proactively pursue new opportunities by influencing OEMs, system integrators, and end users to incorporate Festo products.
• Establish and nurture solid relationships with primary decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Create and implement account strategies aimed at boosting sales growth and customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with internal teams and regional sales units to provide competitive and customized solutions.
• Manage preparation and follow-up of quotations, proposals, and contract discussions.
• Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and technical consultations to customers.
• Use CRM systems to track sales pipelines, opportunities, and activities.
• Meet assigned sales targets, key performance indicators, and business development goals.
• Provide insights on market developments and suggest enhancements to improve customer experience and internal operations.
• Support digital transformation initiatives including hybrid sales approaches to foster growth.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Electronics & Light Assembly Sales Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Postgraduate education in Technical Business or Business Administration is advantageous.
• Between 3 and 7 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or engineering.
• Preferably experienced in factory automation, pneumatics, or industrial equipment sectors.
• Strong understanding of customer demands in the Electronics and Light Assembly field.
• Familiar with automation components and solutions.
• Knowledge of project management is beneficial.
• Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Adept at recognizing customer challenges and recommending effective automation solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Organized, self-directed, and able to manage workload independently.
• Team player with an open-minded approach adaptable to multicultural environments.
• Motivated learner possessing a problem-solving attitude.
• Capable of performing well under pressure and demonstrating resilience.
