About the Role
Aramark Ireland is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter for their team based in Dublin. The role focuses on ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene within the kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene standards, with particular emphasis on HACCP guidelines.
- Receive and inspect food deliveries to guarantee only premium quality products are accepted.
- Maintain proper food storage practices in compliance with hygiene regulations, implementing the First In, First Out (FIFO) stock rotation system.
- Perform cleaning tasks related to service areas, equipment, and kitchen furniture.
- Store food items and equipment correctly after service to maintain sanitation.
- Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and dress code as per company policies at all times.
- Assist in promoting and upholding the company's health and safety protocols.
- Regularly monitor and document food and equipment temperatures to ensure safety standards.
- Identify potential safety hazards in the kitchen and nearby areas, reporting them promptly to the line manager.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the line manager to support smooth departmental operations.
Requirements
- Strong enthusiasm and interest in food and service.
- Willingness and flexibility to work varied hours as required.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Food Hygiene practices, including HACCP.
- Proficient English language skills for effective communication.
