About the Role
Join Citi's KYC Operations team and become part of a global financial institution committed to serving clients responsibly by enabling growth and economic progress through trusted financial services.
Role Overview
The Intermediate KYC Operations Analyst plays a critical role in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight, and regulatory reporting, working closely with Compliance and Control teams. The goal is to manage and advance Citi's internal Know Your Client (KYC) program.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage risk and control aspects including Information Security, Business Continuity, and Records Management.
- Analyze risks and controls to determine root causes, collaborating with peers and leadership to deliver findings and propose mitigation strategies.
- Support business managers and product teams in achieving compliance objectives.
- Partner with colleagues and leadership to develop business plans, compliance guidelines, and produce periodic risk and control reports for organizational forums.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to offer guidance and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Coordinate with Internal and external audits regarding risks and legal liabilities.
- Oversee operational situations that can pose risks or legal issues for Citi.
- Operate with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment and autonomy.
- Function as a subject matter expert for senior leaders and team members.
- Evaluate risk prudently in business decisions, prioritizing firm reputation and compliance with applicable laws, policies, and ethical standards. Manage and escalate control issues transparently.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrate timely and effective decision-making skills.
- Consistently understand and anticipate business and customer needs.
- Show proven ability to build and maintain partnerships across different business regions.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
