Job Responsibilities
- Execute topographic, boundary, control, and construction surveys adhering to project specifications
- Establish and sustain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates
- Carry out setting out for buildings, roads, utilities, structures, and other project components based on approved plans
- Verify horizontal and vertical alignments, levels, measurements, and positions of construction elements
- Perform as-built surveys and produce precise as-built drawings and detailed survey documentation
- Operate and upkeep surveying instruments including total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, digital levels, and laser equipment
- Examine survey data to confirm accuracy prior to starting construction tasks
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants to resolve survey-related challenges
- Maintain comprehensive records including field notes, calculations, and other documentation
- Assist in calculating quantities and earthwork volumes when required
- Ensure adherence to project standards, local regulations, quality control measures, and health, safety, and environmental protocols
- Identify discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings and suggest remedial measures
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- At least 8 years of professional experience as a Land Surveyor engaged in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects
- Preferred experience includes residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure developments
- Knowledge of local authority regulations and adherence to surveying standards
