About the Opportunity
This role sits within a rapidly expanding logistics and trade services business operating in the UAE import-export space. The company supports clients with end-to-end cross-border supply chain execution, including procurement, customs processing, freight movement, and final-mile delivery. The environment is fast paced, target driven, and built around accuracy, quick turnaround, and dependable client service.
Role Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will oversee shipment flow from the moment an order is raised until delivery is completed. The position requires close coordination with transport providers, customs agents, and warehouse teams, along with strong documentation control, live shipment tracking, issue resolution, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Handle the full shipment process from order initiation through to final delivery while staying aligned with client deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Work with carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse partners to achieve efficient routing, competitive costs, and reliable delivery performance.
- Draft, check, and maintain key shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
- Monitor shipments in real time, address delays or mismatches quickly, and keep clients informed with accurate progress updates.
- Track stock movement and coordinate with procurement teams to reduce the risk of shortages or excess inventory in transit or storage.
- Prepare logistics performance reports and identify practical improvements that lower cost and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of transportation management systems.
- Understanding of customs clearance workflows and freight forwarding operations.
- Advanced Excel capability, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and dashboard reporting.
- Experience handling logistics documents such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Ability to coordinate across supply chain functions and apply Incoterms 2020 correctly.
- Preferred: CSCP certification.
- Preferred: prior exposure to UAE customs platforms and processes such as Emirates Post and Dubai Trade.
- Preferred: Arabic language skills.
