Role Overview

The Logistics Lead stationed onsite in Spring, TX, is responsible for supervising and executing all site-based logistics functions, including deliveries, unloading, warehouse management, and ensuring material availability in seamless coordination with the PSC team to avoid any delays in construction activities and commissioning for U.S. project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete logistics supply chain from the manufacturing facility in Italy to various United States project sites.
• Plan and improve multimodal transportation solutions involving sea, road, and intermodal services.
• Ensure delivery schedules are synchronized accurately with project timelines.
• Oversee and coordinate with external customs brokers, ensuring strict observance of U.S. import laws and trade regulations.
• Validate customs duties, tariffs, and commodity classifications (HS codes), as well as prepare and manage all import/export documents alongside the accounts receivable team.
• Maintain strategic relationships with customs consultants and manage logistics import hubs/ports.
• Select, negotiate with, and manage freight forwarders and logistics partners to control costs and optimize service quality.
• Develop inland transport strategies from port to warehouse to site, maintaining carrier availability and monitoring market conditions.
• Coordinate daily deliveries with transport providers, manage unloading operations including equipment and manpower, and handle damage reporting when necessary.
• Ensure alignment between delivery timing and site readiness by collaborating closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Installation Teams.
• Support warehouse operations by ensuring appropriate storage, handling, and traceability of materials required for installation.
• Manage all delivery-related documentation, ensuring compliance and traceability for site acceptance and reporting purposes.
• Regularly communicate updates, challenges, and incidents to the Extra EU Logistics Coordinator and Procurement Manager.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in international logistics, specifically shipments from Europe to the U.S.
• Preferred background in EPC, industrial, or energy sectors.
• Advanced understanding of international freight forwarding, Incoterms, and customs procedures applicable to U.S. imports.
• Proven experience in vendor negotiations and logistics cost management.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities suited for dynamic site environments.
• Attention to detail with a results-driven approach.
